Mold Testing

Mold Testing in Westchester & Putnam Counties

How Healthy Is the Air Inside Your Home?

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the levels of indoor pollutants may be two to three times higher than outdoor levels. And that’s a problem, considering we spend up to 90% of our lives indoors. It’s no wonder that most of us are constantly exposed to indoor airborne pollutants, bacteria, and other substances that can have a negative effect on our health.

Mold is among these substances. Mold spores often go undetected because they are invisible to the naked eye. But reactions to this substance eventually occur. Some mold can produce allergens, irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic chemical substances known as mycotoxins. Mold can cause asthma attacks and increased allergic reactions.

There Is a Solution

If you live in Westchester or Putnam County, NY and suspect that you may have a mold problem or have other indoor air quality concerns, contact us about having a mold inspection done. Our on-staff certified mold inspector can take air samples and have them analyzed by our lab. The actual test and inspection take approximately one hour. Lab results and a detailed report will be provided within two days.

How We Test for Mold

We take samples of both the indoor air and outdoor air so the results can be compared to see if a problem exists. Typically, the indoor sample is taken while the heating and/or air conditioning unit is operating. This will ensure that the interior air is effectively tested.
